About the role 

Our Distribution Services team is responsible for maintaining and constructing SA Power Networks distribution assets – both overhead and underground on Low Voltage, 11KV and 33KV lines (poles, wires, Transformers, High Voltage switches etc.).  

The Crane Operator plays a critical role in the team, and day to DAY you will:  

  • Operate machinery (e.g. Cranes, Vac Trucks, Techmarks, Cable trailers) 
  • Assist Powerline workers with general linework, preparing work, delivering material, notifying customers etc.? 



About you  

You will bring a strong commitment to working safely, and the ability to learn new skills and adapt to changes in standards, systems, and technologies. You are a team player who encourages others to collaborate and find solutions, rather than problems. 

Essential requirements include: 

  • Experience operating cranes, ideally in a powerline environment 
  • Licence to operate crane C2 
  • Current South Australian drivers licence (class – Car and HR) 

 
The standard fortnight is 72hrs, with 1 rostered day off per fortnight. You will be required to work overtime from time to time (all overtime paid at double time) and perform availability duties. 

The majority of work is in the Adelaide area, but there will be requirements to work away from home occasionally (travel allowances apply).?
