    About the role

    Due to our ongoing growth, we are looking across the Tasman Sea for qualified, experienced Transmission Line Mechanics who are interested in relocating to Adelaide, South Australia.

    Our Transmission Powerline Workers work under the leadership and direction of their Team Leader or Supervisor to carry out duties associated with the construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of overhead transmission systems.

    Day to day you will:

    • Maintain and construct Overhead Transmission assets
    • Work on major projects – Including conductor replacement and removals, insulator and hardware replacement, tower and pole repairs and upgrades, new line builds (stringing new lines, new poles and tower installations etc).
    • Be trained in and conduct live line and bare hand works

    A portion of the year will be spent working on project sites throughout SA on an 11:3 or 10:4 roster (all overtime payable at double time and travel allowances apply), so flexibility to work away from home is required. 


    About you

    You will bring a strong commitment to working safely and the ability to learn new skills and adapt to changes in standards, systems and technologies. You are a team player who encourages others to collaborate and offers solutions when challenges are encountered.  

    You will need:

    • New Zealand Citizenship
    • A current NZ Electrical Workers Practising License as a Transmission Line Mechanic
    • New Zealand Certificate in Electricity Supply - Transmission (Level 4) 
    • A minimum of two years’ experience including high voltage and overhead work
    • Current full drivers’ licence
    • Strong commitment to safe working practices


    Please note - New Zealand Citizenship and a New Zealand Certificate in Electricity Supply - Transmission (Level 4) are ESSENTIAL (unless you are an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or already hold a valid working visa for Australia).
