The Role: 

Reporting to the Lead Automation Engineer, the Senior/Principal SCADA Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership and support to the SCADA engineering team to provide efficient and reliable SCADA configuration and design for the ADMS, substations, power stations and other electrical infrastructure. This role is also required to develop and review engineering processes to improve efficiency and quality and assist in the coordination of SCADA engineering activities to maintain project schedules and ensure successful project completion.

In addition, the Senior/Principal SCADA Engineer is responsible for providing direction in preparation of conceptual designs, estimates, project proposals and tenders, providing engineering consultancy in SCADA to customers to bring external work into the business, ensuring SCADA engineering direction, advice, and support to Network with regard to the development of SCADA standards and project scopes and actively contribute to Enervens’ corporate objectives by supporting sound WHS and environmental management principles, promoting a team culture and providing a high level of customer service to optimize the business outcomes.

What you will need:

• University degree in Engineering with Energy applicable focus
• Registered with Engineers Australia – desirable
• RPEQ registration - desirable
• Project and Design Leadership / Management experience
• Experience in substation SCADA design/engineering at a senior level
• Experience carrying out designs for one or more transmission utility companies in the relevant state (eg Powerlink, Transgrid)
• On-site project experience
• Current drivers’ licence
