The Role (24-month contract, located in Muswellbrook, Northern Hunter Valley, NSW)

  • The Contract Administrator (CA) reports to the Commercial and Contracts Manager.
  • Responsible for all aspects of contract management for projects in delivery, including preparation of variations, extensions of time, payment claims and ensuring compliance with the head contract.
  • Responsible for managing subcontractors, including assessing and processing claims, variations, extensions of time and other contractual notices.
  • Provides commercial support for contract reviews (upstream and downstream) and negotiating commercial departures.
  • Provides commercial and contractual advice to the Project Manager and project team.

About you:

As the Contracts Administrator, you will be expected to demonstrate strong attention to detail and with a passion to grow with the business. You will have the following to bring to the role:

  • 5 years’ experience in a commercial or contracts position (Energy/Construction industry experience is viewed favourably)
  • Sound understanding of construction contracts and contract management processes
  • Strong commercial acumen  
  • Qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, Legal, Business or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A current driver's licence
  • A demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively organise and prioritise demands
  • Possess the skills to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
