The Role (located in Sydney, NSW):

As Enerven experiences exciting growth in our team, we are seeking an SQE Advisor due to exciting growth in our team in NSW. This role will be instrumental in ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards as mandated by legislation and company policies. Reporting to the WHS Consultant you will be responsible for a range of activities, including providing guidance, conducting risk assessments, ensuring hazard mitigation measures, performing audits, and monitoring contractor compliance.

The Person

The ideal candidate for the SQE Advisor will possess a strong background in workplace health and safety preferably in the construction, power or similar industries. They will have a keen understanding of WHS legislation, environmental issues, and quality management systems, along with proficiency in conducting risk assessments and audits.

  • Excellent communication both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and time management
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong analytical skills to assess data, evaluate trends, and make informed decisions that contribute to the achievement of safety, quality, and environmental performance.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Diploma in WHS and/or the equivalent level of skills and knowledge gained through experience.
  • Current drivers licence.
  • Knowledge/experience of ISO45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.
  • The ability to do some out of hours work.
  • The ability to travel inter and intra state.
  • Knowledge of key construction site environmental requirements is desirable.
  • Knowledge of TransGrid requirements is desirable.
