The Role:  

Due to exciting growth, we are seeking an experienced Bid Lead to join our team in Adelaide. The Bid Lead will report to the Senior Bid Manager and will be accountable for leading the bid process and preparing high quality competitive bids which includes building client relationships, as well as preparing returnable schedules, conceptual design and identifying critical commercial terms.  

Tender bids consist of a blend of projects such as: 

• high voltage infrastructure 

• electrical distribution 

• transmission networks 

• telecommunications 

• renewable energy sectors 

therefore experience in any of these areas is ideal. This role is primarily focused on estimating and leading and assisting on bids to support the Bid Manager.  

The Person:  

The ideal candidate for the Bid Lead position will need: 

• to have working substation high voltage experience and understand single line diagrams (SLDs) and general arrangement drawings, 

• preparation of detailed cost estimates 

• the ability to evaluate information from others, as the Bid Lead will be working closely with the Estimators and the broader team.  

• strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as interpersonal skills to manage relationships with external and internal customers 

• advanced organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage relevant information for tender submissions 

To be successful in this role, you must: 

• have substation high voltage experience and a proven track record with 3-4 years’ experience in Estimation and/or Bid Leadership  

• a relevant Bachelor’s Degree or Trade Qualification 

• exceptional communication skills  

• advanced analytical and evaluation skills and be able to travel interstate and intrastate as required to visit work sites.
