In collaboration with Amp Energy, Enerven is excited to announce our involvement in the design and construction of the Bungama Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project. The Bungama BESS Project further highlights our dedication to advancing energy innovation and promoting sustainable solutions.

The initial stage of the project incorporates a 150 MW/300MWh BESS facility, a 275/33kV substation, and a 275kV Harmonic filter and shunt reactor.

The Role:

Enerven are seeking a Safety Quality & Environment (SQE) Advisor in Bungama, SA to join our team as we continue to grow on a 2 year contract.

Reporting to the PM and to the WHS consultant, the SQE advisor will support the delivery of the design and installation of the BESS and Substation, and will be pivotal in implementing and managing Enerven’s safety first ethos to ensure all our people work safe, home safe, everyday.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the implementation and management of Enerven's WHS Management System on the project
  • Provide advice in accordance with relevant WHS legislation, Australian Standards, directives, processes, procedures and guidelines;
  • Conduct safety & environmental risk assessments;
  • Ensure mitigation processes for identified hazards are in place and communicated;
  • Conduct audits, inspections and observations in accordance with project scope;
  • Monitoring of contractors and adherence to client requirements
  • Facilitate, develop and provide relevant safety information and communications to site leadership team for toolbox briefings, inductions and prestart briefings;
  • Conduct incident investigations, undertake WHS reporting and project analysis.
  • Provide monthly reports as required by project, client and Leader

Other conditions:

  • Some out of hours’ work will be required as part of the normal duties of this position
  • Interstate and intrastate travel may be required

What you will need:

  • Diploma in WHS and/or the equivalent level of skills and knowledge gained through experience
  • Current drivers licence – car
  • Experience working on large construction projects (or in similar high-risk industries)
  • Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)
