About the role

We are seeking Expressions of Interest form High Voltage Technicians to support the delivery of both design & construction and maintenance projects across Australia.

Based at our Wagga Wagga depot, the types of projects that you will be working on will be varied; keeping you mentally challenged and allowing you to implement your industry knowledge to successfully deliver projects.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Installation of HV switchgear
  • 24/7 customer response
  • Property and facility maintenance, including fencing and building, vegetation management, air conditioning, fire systems, cleaning, and security
  • High voltage switching services
  • Maintenance planning and outage optimisation
  • Asset management and program optimisation advisory services
  • Sub-station internal electrical fit out from Lights and Power, control panels, UPS / battery systems, SCADA etc.
  • Cable installations – LV, control cabling, up to HV.
  • Installations of cable tray, ladder and electrical wiring in new and existing facilities
  • Testing, fault finding and commissioning
  • General works as part of our substation and switchgear installations – sometimes may be non-electrical.
  • Work with Site Supervisors and Project Managers on site related issues with clients and subcontractors.

 

About you

Essential Criteria include:

  • Qualified Electrical Fitter/Mechanic
  • Current CPR/LVR Certification
  • White or Blue card holder
  • Experience with Transmission / Distribution Substation Construction and Industrial Construction
  • High level of electrical/mechanical problem-solving ability
  • Good knowledge of Australian Standards applicable to Electrical Utility & Construction Industries
  • Able and willing to work on remote Construction sites in Australia
  • Commitment to work within the requirements of the company's SQE system
