About the role

It’s an exciting time to be at Enerven. Our business has experienced significant revenue growth year on year, and projections confirm this trajectory is set to continue. Our highly skilled and experienced Bids and Proposals team have played a significant part of this success, bringing together exceptional client management capabilities, solid technical understanding of estimating and design, and honed commercial acumen to consistently deliver high-quality competitive bids.

Reporting to the Program Manager - Bids and Proposals, the Senior Bid Manager will drive the development and management of high-quality bids for Electranet. Leveraging your extensive knowledge of Transmission Networks and the Utilities sector, you will oversee the entire bid and estimating process, including maintaining key client relationships, leading and mentoring the Bid and Estimating team, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to secure major projects.

Day to day you will:

  • Lead and provide technical guidance to your direct reports in the Bid and Estimating team
  • Evaluate detailed cost estimates to ensure accuracy and competitiveness
  • Ensure the timely submission of high-quality bids, adhering to internal governance and gate approval requirements
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the bid phase
  • Develop and present comprehensive approval packs to the senior management team
  • Prepare board papers and governance documentation to support decision-making processes
  • Manage relationships with both existing and potential clients to maintain and develop long-term partnerships
  • Contribute to business planning by analysing the success of tenders and proposing improvements to tendering and estimating procedures



About you

You have a strategic mindset, excellent relationship management skills, and a passion for achieving successful outcomes in bid management. You are motivated to further develop your leadership capabilities and are excited to directly impact the continued success of a fast growing and dynamic business.

Specific qualifications and experience required include:

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering (or equivalent skills and knowledge through experience)
  • Proven track record in Estimation and Bid Management roles
  • Demonstrated experience within the utilities and infrastructure sectors
