About the role
Enerven is excited to be working with global technology provider Fluence to deliver the 500 MW/1000 MWh Liddell Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project, on the site of Liddell Power Station in New South Wales. This nationally significant project is a grid-connected Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and is just one in a string of large-scale renewable energy projects secured by Enerven.
We are looking for an experienced Construction Supervisor (Electrical) to support the delivery of the design and installation of the BESS. Based on site at the Liddell Power Station in Muswellbrook, this role will be pivotal in implementing and managing Enerven’s safety first ethos to ensure all our people work safe, home safe, every day.
Reporting to our Construction Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Day-to-day coordination of all electrical and mechanical subcontractor work groups
- Daily inspections and signing off Inspection test plans
- Management of Enerven supplied Equipment and Cabling
- Ensuring the overall successful completion of site-based electrical construction activities in a safe, efficient, timely and cost-effective manner
- Providing site leadership and coordination of all aspects of planning and scheduling works (including the coordination of external contractors)
- Liasing with client
- Co-ordinating with in-house engineering team for any Engineering/design changes
You will mostly work a 5.5-day week (10hr days) at the Liddell site, and all overtime above 37.5hrs per week is paid at double time. However, the flexibility to work varying rosters and work away as required will be advantageous (travel allowances apply).
Ideally you will live locally or be willing to relocate to the area (relocation support is available).
About you
You will be an exceptional communicator on all levels, able to lead and deliver a team with a strong focus on safety, quality, client delivery and project execution. You will be a natural a problem solver and a practical thinker.
Requirements include:
- Extensive experience in heavy industrial electrical construction, ideally renewables projects and/or substations
- Knowledge and experience in installation of High Voltage equipment and systems
- Experience in Substations also beneficial
- Experience in supervisory and leadership roles
- Electrical Workers licence
