    About the role
     
    Enerven’s story is an exciting one. Our evolution from a purely South Australian business to a national player has been rapid, and our trajectory is not slowing down as we continue to expand our footprint across Australia.  
     
    Your expertise will be instrumental in helping us to build our capability in Environmental Management across our program of works in New South Wales, and eventually into Queensland. You will lead environmental compliance across major projects, with a focus on managing environmental risk, supporting project teams, and ensuring the implementation of environmental management plans. 
     
    You will provide leadership and mentoring to the existing NSW Environmental Advisor, as well as drive the continual evolution and capability of the function. You will ensure we are appropriately resourced and prepared to support upcoming projects and continued growth interstate. 
     
    Day to day you will: 

    • Be the go-to person on all things legislation, and ensure project staff are aware of their environmental obligations
    • Ensure adherence to environmental compliance requirements by coordinating inspections, audits and reports on environmental performance across the NSW program of works
    • Provide timely advice on a full range of environmental topics, including development of Construction Environmental Management Plans and other management plans as required
    • Build constructive and influential relationships with Enerven’s clients and other relevant stakeholders
    • Actively manage environmental incidents in a timely and compliant manner to minimise environmental harm and ensure compliance with environmental legislation


    About you
     
    You will bring: 
     
    • Solid knowledge and experience in the application of environmental management principles in the construction or related industry, particularly in NSW and/or Qld
    • Extensive knowledge of environmental legislation in NSW and/or Qld
    • Proven experience in developing and implementing Construction Environmental Management Plans on significant projects
    • Ability to lead the team and ensure high standards of environmental performance and compliance
    • Relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental management, science or related field
    • High level written and oral communication skills with the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise with a diverse group of stakeholders and provide concise and accurate reports, briefings and submissions
