Enerven are seeking a Principal Protection Engineer to join it’s design team and lead the delivery of some of Australia's most significant renewable energy infrastructure and transmission projects. This exciting portfolio includes the 500MW Liddell BESS, the 2.8GWh Eraring BESS and the 500kV Goulburn River Solar Farm connection in New South Wales where Enerven is delivering the critical infrastructure needed to drive Australia’s renewable energy transition.

 

As the Principal Protection Engineer, you will provide technical leadership, guidance, mentorship to team members, act as a technical authority of protection designs whilst playing a key role in the successful delivery of protection designs across the project portfolio. You will support the Protection Team Lead and contribute expert knowledge across all protection-related deliverables.

 

 

 

You will be required to have detailed knowledge of protection and secondary design, substation and renewables engineering principles, a vast knowledge in HV and UHV transmission protection design, network modelling, and power engineering fundamentals. You also need to be competent with technical management skills in leading, structuring and delivering processes, procedures and templates along with estimating skills for engineering.
