Enerven delivers electrical infrastructure and telecommunications solutions that are vital to connecting communities across Australia. Our design, construction, and maintenance services ensure reliable power generation, transmission, and distribution to homes and businesses nationwide – and our commitment to renewable energy and resilient grid infrastructure sets us apart.

The expertise and dedication of our people spans the entire electricity network, so careers at Enerven are defined by meaningful contributions and impactful work.

At Enerven, we’re connecting you with tomorrow.

    About the role

Enerven’s story is an exciting one. Our growth from a South Australian team to a national business has been rapid, and our trajectory is not slowing down as we continue to expand our footprint across Australia.

This exciting role is not just about developing and implementing communications strategies. We are seeking a true storyteller. You will craft powerful narratives that captivate and excite, build reputations, and drive real impact. You’ll dive deep into projects and meet the people behind our work to uncover stories that capture both the technical brilliance and the human impact of what we do.

From executive communications, client updates, community engagement campaigns, project milestone updates and PR/media releases — you’ll be the voice that connects Enerven to the community.

    You will:

    • lead storytelling strategies across key communications initiatives (internal and external).
    • develop engaging thought leadership and communication materials that bring our projects to life for the public, stakeholders, clients, and employees
    • translate complex information into clear, compelling and inspiring stories — from project updates and internal newsletters to stakeholder briefings, executive speeches, community announcements, to media, marketing and public affairs
    • support bid and tender communications with narratives that sell more than specs — they sell purpose
    • collaborate with project teams, engineers, and leadership to uncover the stories behind the project.

    About you

You are a strategic communicator and a natural storyteller, passionate about connecting people to purpose. You are an accomplished writer, who is naturally curious, and you excel at uncovering the details others miss .You find the story before anyone else even knows there is one!

    You will bring:

    • solid experience in communications, journalism, or public relations — ideally with exposure to construction, engineering, or major infrastructure projects
    • experience collaborating with project delivery teams and operational business units to translate complex technical info into human-centred narratives
    • exceptional writing skills and the ability to craft compelling stories with both an internal and external lens
    • an understanding of the media landscape and the ability to seek out PR and media opportunities.
