About the role

Enerven are looking for an experienced Trades Assistant to be a key part in our Substation Construction Delivery team in the construction of substations and renewable projects.

You will work alongside experienced substation electricians and other experienced personnel to ensure a high quality of output and a safe working environment. You will need a high level of safety awareness, ability to take and follow instruction and work in a team environment and be familiar with and skilled in the use of power tools and small to large equipment.

This role will be predominantly working away on construction sites on a 10:4 roster (all over time at x2 + generous LAFHA apply).


About you

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who possesses a strong can-do attitude and demonstrates initiative in all aspects of their work. You will have a solid background in the trade or civil industry, bringing practical experience and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

You are comfortable working independently, taking ownership of tasks, and effectively contributing to team goals. A passion for continuous learning and improvement, combined with a hands-on approach to tackling challenges and a commitment to safety, will be key to succeeding in this role.

Specific qualifications and experience required include:

• Previous experience in a similar Trades Assistant or Labouring role
• A current SA drivers’ licence is essential
• Any of the following High-Risk Work licences will be helpful: Dogging and Rigging, Crane, Forklift, EWP
• A white card and First Aid CPR are desirable
• General computer skills
