About the role
Enerven’s Transmission Maintenance and Aerial Services team ensures the safe, efficient and reliable operation of critical transmission assets across SA.
As a Team Leader in our Transmission Lines Maintenance team, you will lead and mentor multiple crews of Trade Qualified Powerline Workers to deliver the construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of overhead transmission systems, including live line and bare hand works.
You will also support the delivery of project work – Including conductor replacement and removals, insulator and hardware replacement, tower and pole repairs and upgrades, new line builds, stringing new lines, new pole and tower installation etc.
As a Team Leader, you will:
- Lead and coordinate daily activities of your crew on-site
- Drive safety, quality, and efficiency across all project tasks
- Report on progress and job status throughout project lifecycles
- Mentor and develop team members to build capability and drive a positive culture
- Collaborate with Operations Supervisors and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes
- Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and company procedures
The majority of our projects are based in SA, across metro and regional areas. You will be required to work away from home on certain projects, with time away ranging from just a night or 2, up to 11 days on larger regional jobs. Generous travel allowances and double time over-time rates apply.
About you
You will bring a strong commitment to working safely, and the ability to learn new skills and adapt to changes in standards, systems, and technologies. You are a hands-on leader with a strong technical background and the ability to guide crews in complex, high-voltage environments.
Requirements include:
- Certificate of Trade (Powerline), including a Cert III ESI - Transmission
- Extensive post-trade qualification experience as a Linesman
- Demonstrated leadership capability gained from previous experience in Leadership roles
- SA Electrical License (or ability to get one)
- Current SA driver’s licence - car and/or heavy vehicle
- Experience working safely using Live Line techniques and methods would be great, but is not essential (however, you must be willing to work towards Live Stick and Barehand qualifications)
- High Voltage Switching experience would be beneficial, but is not essential
