About the role

Reporting to the Manager, Transmission and Aerial Services, this is a career-defining leadership opportunity at the forefront of complex substation and high-voltage (HV) project delivery. You’ll provide technical leadership to a highly capable team of project and delivery professionals, while engaging with clients, partners and industry forums to position Enerven for continued success.

This is more than a delivery role - it’s a market-facing leadership position. You’ll work closely with key clients, partners and industry leaders, building trusted relationships, influencing major project outcomes, optimising commercial performance, and identifying opportunities that strengthen Enerven’s competitive edge.

Highly visible and strategically important, this role offers a platform to shape how we deliver, where we compete, and how we grow. For a highly technical and strategic leader seeking real influence, ownership, and the opportunity to leave a lasting mark on critical infrastructure, this is an exceptional role.

Day to day you will:

  • Provide technical and strategic leadership across substation and HV packaged works
  • Act as a key market and client interface, strengthening existing relationships and establishing new ones
  • Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers and delivery specialists
  • Oversee project performance across safety, quality, schedule and commercial outcomes
  • Drive work planning, forecasting and portfolio oversight
  • Provide financial and commercial governance, including early identification of risks and opportunities
  • Support competitive tendering activity and the pursuit of new work
  • Build visibility of the team and its capability internally and externally

About you

You’re a technically strong leader with a background in HV substations and packaged works, who is comfortable operating at the intersection of delivery, commercial outcomes and market engagement. You bring credibility with clients, confidence in decision-making, and a leadership style that brings people with you.

You’ll bring:

  • Strong experience in HV substation construction, maintenance or project delivery
  • Proven leadership experience across project and technical teams
  • Solid commercial and contract management capability
  • Financial acumen, including forecasting, reporting and performance analysis
  • Well-developed stakeholder and client management skills
  • The ability to operate in a competitive market and represent the business externally
  • A degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering or equivalent experience

This is a rare opportunity to step into a visible, influential role within a growing and ambitious part of Enerven. You’ll have the platform to shape the future of the portfolio, the team and your own career as the business continues to expand locally and nationally.
