About the role
Due to continued growth, we have multiple opportunities for Transmission Lines Engineers to join our team in Adelaide or Sydney.
These roles sit within our Transmission Engineering function and focus on the design, assessment and delivery of overhead transmission line infrastructure. You will work across regulated and unregulated projects, supporting utilities and renewable developers as Australia’s grid continues to evolve.
Whether your background is consulting, utilities, EPC or contractor environments, this is an opportunity to contribute to major high-voltage infrastructure projects while growing your capability within a nationally recognised engineering business.
What you will be doing
- Deliver overhead transmission line design including route selection, structure spotting and PLS-CADD modelling
- Undertake structure and footing design across lattice towers, steel poles, H-frames and related system
- Perform construction loading assessments and provide input into safe design and work methods
- Provide technical engineering advice relating to overhead transmission line
- Support construction, maintenance and emergency restoration activities
- Ensure compliance with client standards, Australian Standards and statutory requirements|
- Provide site-based engineering support across project phases
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated infrastructure outcomes
About you
We are seeking engineers with experience in overhead transmission line design who are motivated to work on complex, large-scale infrastructure projects.
You will bring:
- Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or related Engineering discipline
- Experience in transmission line design (typically 5+ years, but open to varied levels)
- Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole and/or PLS-Tower
- Understanding of transmission design, construction and maintenance practices
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across engineering and construction teams
- CPEng (or working towards) is highly regarded.
These roles can be based in Adelaide or Sydney.
