About the role

Enerven’s story is an exciting one. Our evolution from a purely South Australian business to a national player has been rapid, and our trajectory is not slowing down as we continue to expand our footprint across Australia.

As an Environment Business Partner, you'll play a key role in shaping Enerven's environmental performance across some of South Australia's most significant energy infrastructure projects. Working closely with operational leaders, project teams and clients, you'll provide trusted environmental advice that supports safe, sustainable and compliant project delivery.

In this role, you will:

  • Guide and mentor a small Environment team to build capability, drive excellence and foster a culture of environmental leadership.
  • Lead environmental planning to ensure the team is well positioned and resourced to support current projects and Enerven's continued growth
  • Lead the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of Enerven's Environmental Management System (EMS) and environmental governance framework
  • Provide trusted environmental advice to project teams, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, approvals and client requirements
  • Develop and review Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) and other project-specific environmental documentation
  • Oversee environmental audits, inspections and incident investigations, ensuring effective corrective actions and a proactive approach to risk management
  • Monitor environmental performance, analyse key metrics and identify opportunities to enhance environmental performance and sustainability outcomes across the business
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators and internal stakeholders, influencing positive environmental outcomes and supporting successful project delivery

About you

You're an experienced environmental professional who enjoys partnering with delivery teams to achieve practical, sustainable outcomes. You combine strong technical knowledge with commercial awareness and know how to influence, coach and build trusted relationships across all levels of a business.

You will bring:

  • A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related discipline
  • Significant experience applying environmental management principles within construction, infrastructure, utilities or similar project-based environments
  • Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, compliance requirements, environmental management systems and ISO14001
  • Experience preparing environmental management plans, conducting audits and inspections, managing environmental incidents and driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Proven leadership or mentoring experience, with the ability to develop capability and foster a high-performing team culture
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and report writing skills, with the confidence to provide practical advice to project teams and clients.
