Enerven is now seeking to appoint a Project Inspector to join and support their Metro North team on a permanent basis.

The Role 

The Project Inspector is responsible for the provision of specialist asset assessment services, such as: advanced asset inspection processes, equipment failure investigations, customer queries, reliability diagnostics, compliance and auditing. The role will input and review asset data to ensure quality information is available for informed decisions to be made for the ongoing effective management of the network. 

The Project Inspector will 

  • Carry out detailed and methodical inspections of powerline assets, including post fault patrols and post emergency events, using Remotely Piloted Aircraft and Ground based technologies. 

  • Carry out complex inspection tasks such as thermographic surveys using ground and aerial technology, ultrasonic testing and visual inspection of equipment such as switchgear, transformers and substations. 

  • Desktop and field auditing to ensure that employees/contractors/service providers comply with specific technical standards and project specifications and that quality information is captured then maintained within corporate systems. 

  • Identify opportunities to improve inspection processes and effectiveness. 

 

 What you will need 

  • Certificate II in Asset Inspection competency (preferred but not essential) 

  • Powerline trade qualification 

  • Current drivers’ licence
