At Enerven, we’re focussed on connecting you with tomorrow.

About the role

Enerven has experienced exceptional growth over the last three years, with a continued focus on traditional distribution and transmission network projects both in SA and interstate, as well as stepping into the exciting world of renewables.

As the complexity and diversity of our business increases, so too does our risk profile. Traditionally the Governance and Risk function has sat with SA Power Networks as our parent company, but it has now become critical that we evolve and mature this function in-house to meet our changing business needs.

Working alongside Enerven’s General Manager for Governance and Risk, you will to be accountable for the identification, analysis, measurement and resolution of risk, and assist with the ongoing management of governance and risk activities across the organisation.

Day to day you will:

  • Facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders to identify, measure and track risks
  • Lead and conduct specialist risk analysis and risk assessments for the business
  • Assist with the maintenance and development of risk management frameworks, risk training and planning
  • Provide meaningful, timely and accurate risk reporting to the business
  • Support the GM Governance and Risk with key reporting requirements for the Board and Committees, shareholders and other external stakeholders
  • Develop, implement and deliver a program of corporate training related to risk management
  • Manage key elements of the organisational resilience framework, including the pandemic management plan and crisis and emergency management plans

About you

You are a seasoned Governance and Risk professional who is eager to join a national business amid a massive growth phase. You thrive in a dynamic environment where innovative thinking and a continuous improvement focus are not just encouraged but expected.

You are eager to push your boundaries and apply your expertise and knowledge in a high-profile position, with influence at board and exec level. You will be instrumental in the evolution of Enerven’s G&R function, with direct impact on the continued success and growth of the business. This is an opportunity to make your mark, get noticed, and elevate your career to the next level.

Specific qualifications and experience required include:

  • Solid experience in Governance and Risk functions, preferably in energy or construction or professional services
  • A Degree in business, finance, law, or other related field
  • Experience in developing and implementing risk management and governance frameworks
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and audits
  • Professional certification in risk management or governance would be advantageous, but not essential (e.g., Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT)
