Enerven delivers electrical infrastructure and telecommunications solutions that are vital to connecting communities across Australia. Our design, construction, and maintenance services ensure reliable power generation, transmission, and distribution to homes and businesses nationwide – and our commitment to renewable energy and resilient grid infrastructure sets us apart.
The expertise and dedication of our people spans the entire electricity network, so careers at Enerven are defined by meaningful contributions and impactful work.
At Enerven, we’re connecting you with tomorrow.
About the role
As Enerven continues to expand across Australia's energy infrastructure sector, we're investing in the culture, capability and leadership that will support our next phase of growth.
We're looking for an experienced Culture & Capability Manager to establish and lead this newly created function. Reporting to the General Manager People & Culture, you'll lead a small specialist team while partnering with leaders across the business to shape employee experience, strengthen leadership capability and embed practical people initiatives that drive performance.
This is more than a program delivery role. It's an opportunity to build a function, influence organisational priorities and create lasting impact across a growing national business. You'll help shape how we attract, develop, engage and retain our people while creating simpler, more effective ways of working that enable our teams to perform at their best.
Day to day you will:
- Lead the strategy, design and delivery of culture, engagement and employee experience initiatives across the business.
- Build leadership capability through practical development programs, coaching and organisational initiatives.
- Enhance the employee experience across the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding and development through to retention.
- Partner with People & Culture, Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning and operational leaders to embed consistent people practices.
- Drive organisational change and support leaders to successfully adopt new ways of working.
- Simplify people processes, improve ways of working and remove friction for leaders and employees.
- Use workforce insights, engagement data and business metrics to identify opportunities and measure success.
- Lead, coach and develop a small team while fostering collaboration across the broader People & Culture function.
About you
You're someone who enjoys building rather than maintaining. You understand that strong culture isn't created through one-off initiatives, but through practical, consistent experiences that help leaders and employees succeed every day.
Equally comfortable thinking strategically and rolling up your sleeves to deliver, you're a trusted advisor who enjoys influencing leaders, challenging the status quo and creating meaningful organisational change.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience leading culture, organisational capability, employee experience or organisational development initiatives.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders to influence decisions, coach capability and deliver business outcomes.
- A track record of designing and implementing leadership development, capability or employee engagement frameworks.
- Experience delivering change and capability initiatives within a complex operational, engineering, infrastructure, utilities or industrial environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to bring people on the journey.
- A continuous improvement mindset with experience simplifying processes, improving employee experience and embedding better ways of working.
- The ability to interpret workforce insights and data to inform decisions, measure impact and continuously improve outcomes.
- Experience leading, mentoring or developing teams within a People & Culture environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Psychology, Organisational Development or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
