About the role 

The Sustainability Advisor plays a key role in supporting Enerven’s evolving sustainability and ESG journey. The role focuses on implementing Enerven’s Sustainability Framework, driving sustainability engagement across the business and continuously improving data quality and reporting. 

 

This role contributes to: 

  • The network by supporting responsible, sustainable delivery of critical electricity infrastructure that underpins communities and the energy transition 

  • Enerven by leading sustainability reporting, data quality and governance, and ensuring alignment with emerging regulations, mandatory reporting requirements and client expectations 

  • The team by partnering closely with People and Support Services, Procurement, Delivery, Risk and Governance to drive consistent and credible sustainability practices 

What makes this role unique is the opportunity to help build the sustainability function in a national business. You’ll have real scope to influence, advise and shape how sustainability and ESG are integrated into decision-making, client responses and long-term strategy. 

 

Day to day you will: 

  • Lead sustainability and ESG reporting, including preparation of sustainability statements and responses  

  • Coordinate company-wide data collection, analysis and insights across sustainability initiatives 

  • Develop and maintain ESG analytics and reporting tools, with a focus on continuous improvement and automation 

  • Monitor data quality, identify inconsistencies and work with stakeholders to resolve issues 

  • Support governance, compliance and assurance activities related to sustainability and ESG 

  • Engage with stakeholders across the business to drive delivery of the Sustainability Framework 

 

  
About you  

You are a sustainability or ESG specialist with experience translating frameworks, standards and regulatory requirements into practical, company outcomes. You’re comfortable owning the sustainability agenda, working across multiple stakeholder groups, and using data, insight and professional judgement to influence decisions. You bring a pragmatic, commercial mindset, strong communication capability, and the confidence to provide trusted advice at all levels of the organisation. 

Specific qualifications and experience required include: 

  • Degree qualification in Sustainability, Environment or Climate Science, Business, or equivalent experience 

  • Experience in implementing a sustainability strategy or equivalent business wide 

  • Experience working with sustainability or ESG reporting standards and frameworks 

  • Experience in data analysis, reporting and managing data quality 

  • Exposure to governance, compliance and control environments 

  • Experience supporting or contributing to GHG emissions reporting and climate-related initiatives 

Skills and qualities: 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability 

  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills 

  • Organised, detail-focused and comfortable working in an evolving environment 

  • A proactive mindset and genuine interest in sustainability and ESG 

This role is offered on a full time permanent, aligned to a defined phase of Enerven’s sustainability and ESG journey.
