About the role
As an Asset Management Officer you will inspect, test and assess the condition of electrical powerline assets throughout South Australia.
You will be responsible for the input and review of asset data to ensure quality information is available to inform decisions and support the ongoing effective management of the network.
Day to day you will:
- Carry out detailed and methodical inspections and reporting of powerline assets across SA’s Transmission and Distribution networks
- Conduct thermographic surveys, ultrasonic testing and visual inspections
- Use remotely piloted aircraft (drone) to conduct aerial asset inspections
- Conduct desktop and field auditing to ensure specific technical standards and project specifications are complied with and that quality information is recorded
- Identify opportunities to improve inspection processes and effectiveness
This role will work across the Adelaide Metropolitan area and multiple regional locations across South Australia. Some away from home/intrastate work will be required. Base depot will be Metro North (Elizabeth).
About you
You’re a qualified Powerline Worker who takes pride in your craft and enjoys getting out in the field to see all corners of our beautiful state. You may be looking to apply your skills in a different part of the industry, or ready to step away from large-scale construction projects in favour of more stable, inspection-focused work.
You will bring:
- Certificate III in ESI - Distribution or Transmission (essential)
- Certificate II in ESI - Asset Inspection and Testing (highly advantageous, but not essential)
- Current drivers’ licence (essential)
