Enerven delivers electrical infrastructure and telecommunications solutions that are vital to connecting communities across Australia. Our design, construction, and maintenance services ensure reliable power generation, transmission, and distribution to homes and businesses nationwide – and our commitment to renewable energy and resilient grid infrastructure sets us apart.

The expertise and dedication of our people spans the entire electricity network, so careers at Enerven are defined by meaningful contributions and impactful work.

At Enerven, we’re connecting you with tomorrow.

About the role

Enerven is expanding into Queensland. We are mobilising a significant new renewable energy project in regional Queensland, our first major project in the state, and we are building the team that will deliver it.

Enerven’s scope includes the design and delivery of both civil and electrical Balance of Plant (BoP) infrastructure, bringing together our capability across major electrical infrastructure, substations and renewable energy project delivery.

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to take a key leadership role in the safe and successful delivery of the project.

Working closely with the Senior Project Manager and broader project team, you will lead construction activities on site, coordinating civil and electrical work fronts, supervisors, subcontractors and resources to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with program, quality and commercial requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and coordinating construction activities across civil and electrical BoP works.
  • Providing strong on-site leadership to supervisors, construction crews and subcontractors.
  • Driving WHS, environmental and quality performance across all construction activities.
  • Planning and coordinating labour, plant, materials and subcontractor resources to support the construction program.
  • Working closely with the Project Manager, engineering and commercial teams to manage construction priorities, risks and interfaces.
  • Monitoring construction progress, productivity, cost and schedule performance.
  • Building strong working relationships with the client, subcontractors and key project stakeholders.
  • Identifying and resolving construction issues to maintain safe and efficient project delivery.

This is a full-time, 2-year fixed-term opportunity, based on site in regional Queensland.

The role will operate on an anticipated 10 days on / 4 days off roster and will be DIDO, with accommodation and transport arrangements provided in line with project requirements.

For the right construction leader, this is an opportunity to join Enerven at an important stage of our national growth and play a key role in delivering our first major Queensland project.

About you

You’re an experienced construction leader who is comfortable taking ownership of complex, multidisciplinary project delivery in a site environment.

You bring strong construction fundamentals, can effectively lead multiple work fronts and understand what it takes to coordinate people, subcontractors, plant and interfaces across a major infrastructure project.

You will bring:

  • Proven construction leadership experience across major infrastructure, energy or renewable energy projects.
  • Experience delivering civil and/or electrical Balance of Plant works, ideally across BESS, substations, transmission, solar or wind projects.
  • Demonstrated experience leading supervisors, crews and subcontractors across multiple construction work fronts.
  • Strong understanding of construction planning, safety, quality, productivity and resource management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a practical, solutions-focused approach to project delivery.
  • Current QLD Drivers Licence
  • Relevant trade, construction licenses and qualifications will be highly regarded

If you’re looking to take a leading role in the delivery of a significant new renewable energy project and be part of Enerven’s growth into Queensland, we’d like to hear from you.
