About the role

Reporting to the Enerven Delivery Commissioning Director, the Project Commissioning Lead will be accountable for site-based commissioning delivery of Enerven Renewables High Voltage and Balance of Plant Infrastructure, ensuring Testing and Commissioning activities are carried out to the highest safety standards, resourced and delivered according to project scope and schedule and challenges effectively resolved with all internal and external stakeholders.

Day to day you will: 

  • Ensure early project design phase Commissioning support with a focus on end product delivery
  • Plan the entire project commissioning lifecycle for renewable projects from design handover to post energisation support
  • Work closely with the Enerven Project team for the entire project lifecycle
  • Clearly and professionally engage and communicate as Commissioning SME with project Clients and third party's
  • Develop, review, improve and manage all project testing and commissioning safety, resourcing, planning and quality documentation
  • Plan and Lead all Testing and Commissioning Safety ensuring clear understanding, application, review and ongoing adherence to the Enerven Safe Systems of Work framework, 
  • Plan and Lead all Testing and Commissioning Quality activity for the entire project lifecycle, ensuring clear understanding, application, review and ongoing adherence to the Enerven site applicable completions management systems
  • Support the all grid connection activity to ensure the end client and Enerven can achieve successful generator approval as applicable to the project 
  • Plan and Lead all High Voltage Energisation activity including development of detailed Energisation Sequence plans, Energisation Staging plans, secondary isolation staging plans, brown fields integration plans, switching sheet development and review and third-party energisation engagement
  • Accept and signing off all Stage Gate Certificates as required by commissioning
  • Review Energisation readiness and authorising all site High Voltage energisation activity
  • Update and maintain resourcing schedule for all testing and commissioning activity and flag resourcing constraints with the project team in a timely manner ensuring alternative planning is in place to mitigate project delay.
  • Update and Report project safety and progress on a regular basis to the Delivery Commissioning Director and Delivery Management Team

This role will be largely site based and will be required to travel to various sites across Australia and as required. Site requirements will attract overtime and living away from home benefits. A work vehicle will be provided.

 


About you

Specific qualifications and experience required include: 

  • Ten years of hands-on High Voltage Asset Testing and Commissioning experience
  • You will be a self-starter with a positive attitude able to productively resolve challenges
  • Ability to communicate across disciplines including senior management, clients, Engineers, site construction teams
  • Previous experience in testing and commissioning lead roles for greenfield/brownfield electrical transmission and distribution substations
  • Tertiary Qualifications in an Electrical trade or Electrical Engineering
  • Sound understanding of Electrical Engineering principles, transmission lines, bus bars, transformer protection fundamentals, schemes, and experience in generation, renewables (especially BESS). Experience in testing and commissioning of primary and secondary electrical equipment and protection systems, including SCADA and communications in High Voltage substations
  • Proficiency with primary and secondary system testing utilising discrete and integrated test equipment such as Omicron, Doble, Megger etc.
  • Local Australian Utility experience and training will be highly regarded

Experience in hold point testing and grid connection compliance will be highly regarded.
