About the role
Enerven's Calibration and Testing Services team is growing, with a twelve-month contract available for a Calibration Engineer. Based in Marleston, you'll deliver calibration and testing work both on site with internal and external customers and in the lab, and act as a technical point of reference for the CTS team and the customers who rely on it. The role sits close to the detail: analysing results, validating calibrations against National Standards and NATA requirements, and making sure safety, environmental, regulatory and customer obligations are met every time. There's also a genuine development pathway here, with the opportunity to work towards becoming a nominated NATA signatory for the Enerven Calibration Laboratory.
Day to day you will:
- Calibrate and test instruments and equipment in the laboratory and at customer sites
- Provide engineering expertise and technical advice within the CTS team and to customers
- Analyse results and validate calibrations against National Standards and NATA requirements
- Write and maintain test methods and work instructions with internal engineers
- Support the laboratory's quality management system and input to tenders and pricing
About you
You bring hands on calibration and testing experience and a genuine care for accuracy, along with the communication skills to explain your work clearly to customers and colleagues. Experienced Calibration Technicians are warmly encouraged to apply. If you have strong NATA laboratory experience without the formal engineering qualification, tell us about your background, as equivalent experience will be considered.
You will bring:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related scientific discipline
- A current driver's licence
- Sound knowledge of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard and NATA calibration and testing practice
- Demonstrated experience calibrating and testing electrical equipment within a NATA accredited or equivalent laboratory, together with the ability to become a NATA signatory
