About the opportunity

Enerven is expanding into Queensland. We are mobilising a new renewable energy project in regional QLD, our first in the state, and we are building the team to deliver it. Enerven’s scope includes the design and delivery of both civil and electrical Balance of Plant (BoP) for this key renewable projects.

This full-time, 2-year fixed-term role is based in Chermside and reports to the Planning Manager, with travel to the project site in regional QLD as required. The role owns planning and scheduling for the project from mobilisation onwards, including master scheduling, resource loading, earned value analysis and reporting. Working closely with the project team, subcontractors and cross-functional teams, the role keeps the program realistic, integrated and on track. This is an opportunity to set the standard for project planning as Enerven grows its presence in Queensland.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing the project master schedule and baseline during mobilisation
  • Managing detailed project plans and schedules across the project lifecycle
  • Managing subcontractor programs, including integrating them into the master schedule and controlling them
  • Reviewing and analysing schedule delays
  • Analysing and reporting on the critical path and slippage
  • Supporting earned value assessments and risk reviews

  

About you

An experienced senior planning professional, you think strategically and have strong analytical and communication skills. You can coordinate complex project schedules and help multidisciplinary teams work well together. Experience with a project during mobilisation or start-up is highly regarded. Experience in power and renewables engineering and construction, such as substations, transmission lines, solar, wind or battery energy storage systems (BESS), is also highly regarded but not essential.

Other knowledge and skills include:

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction or Project Management
  • At least 6 to 8 years of planning experience in energy, resources, infrastructure or utilities
  • Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project
  • Previous contractor-side project experience
  • Willingness and ability to travel to regional Queensland as required
